The Bee Gees have made a lasting impact on the face of music, and their distinctive sound became the sound of disco.

Roger Waters and Pink Floyd are the craftsmen of Album Rock, and The Wall is a testament to the impact of music in the 1970s.

In the 1960s a music company grew in Detroit Michigan called Motown. The most successful African American group of all time came from there,  and the Supremes epitomized class and style.

Sonny and Cher started their career as Caesar and Cleo and Phil Spector started them on their career. Cher's distinctive voice and Sonny Bono's writing and administrative abilities rocketed them to the top of the charts.

The man we all know as Sting recently made a huge departure
from his rock music roots. After hearing a concert of Renaissance
music, Sting spent two years learning how to play the lute and
recorded an album of John Dowland's music. We conclude our look
at Crossover music with an artist who took a trip back in time.
